Our Australian Debut

Homofactus Press’ debut book Self-Organizing Men took Sydney by storm with our international debut. Gaylourdes, one of Self-Organizing Men’s contributors worked with Black Rose books in Sydney to launch both Homofactus Press and the (re)new opening of Black Rose books.

“This was a totally awesome booklauch! The Black Rose Anarchist Bookshop and Library was totally packed out, the wine and cheese flowed and there was much milling around of many enthusiastic people. I think we had about 80 poeple there. Aren Z. Aizura and Eli Clare read excerpts from their writings (Eli on the Ipod). I did my best to give a brief potted history of Homofactus Press and the connection here in Australia without hogging the spotlight too much. Self Organising Men sold out in a Flash, and the aforementioned enthusiastic crowd did their enthusiastic thing with the fundraising HfP teatowels and trannyboy trade badges, made specially for the occasion.”

Congratulations to Gaylourdes for all her hard work and a big thank you to everyone who attended the book launch.

Gaylourdes will be taking Self-Organizing Men to Melbourne for a book launch on June 7 at Camp Betty.
